C21Media has launched The AI Academy, designed to provide ongoing training for creatives and executives working in the international content business, to help harness the power of the new technology and understand the opportunities and threats it presents.

From writers and creators, producers, channels, platforms, distributors, financiers to other parts of the value chain, The AI Academy courses provide practical ‘how to’ and best-practice training to help navigate the complex issues in the fast-moving landscape.

The AI Academy and C21 founder David Jenkinson said: “The greatest threat from AI is that your competition understands it first and uses it against you. It is vitally important that every part of the content industry value chain understands the threat and opportunity of the new technology. The AI Academy will provide ongoing training courses to help everyone in the business get to grips with AI as its impact grows.”

The first course, An Introduction to AI For The Content Business, takes place on Monday November 27, ahead of Content London, with a second half-day course of the same name scheduled on Thursday January 25, 2024, as part of Content Americas.

The courses will be available on the open market, but registered Content London delegates receive a 50% discount to the November 27 course and all registered Content Americas delegates are able to attend the half-day January 25 course free of charge.

A series of one-day courses are available throughout 2024.

The AI Academy will not teach, nor recommends, using AI to write scripts.
